OpenFormulae is a free program that allows you to draw graphs dynamically. That is, you can change the value of one or more of the extra variables with a slider bar and see the change of the graph directly. This allows you to observe the effect of a change in one of the variable values.

OpenFormulae has been developed to be used by high-school students and teachers. By enabling one to see the effect of a change of a variable value directly, this program can be a valuable tool in learning to deal with translations and multiplications of graphs. Moreover, students' general insight in functions and graphs can be enhanced and some of the shortcomings of the (in The Netherlands required) standard graphical calculator can be overcome.
